Your Hidden Garden B&B is carefully nestled into a heavily forested hillside, with a very sparsely populated area all around. And lots of trees with not lots of people, is great habitat for wildlife, especially birds. The guest garden areas are set up for you to relax, and let that wildlife come to you.
Birders can simply pull up a chair, or a lounge sofa, and see all an east Texas forest has to offer in birds. Mornings are filled with the sounds of songbirds as the sun rises, and as the day progresses, all types of forest birds pass through. A zoom lens will find dozens of species in a single sitting, and birders never have to leave their comfortable seating or refreshing beverage!
At night, the trees bring out the night raptors and nocturnal birds. Owls and night hawks are the new singers, with the mockingbirds chiming in with everyone. And no need to walk through a dark forest to experience all that. Just relax on one of the garden decks and enjoy the show.
That same comfortable spot in the garden might bring all sort of animal sightings as well. Deer pass through to munch on the bountiful forest plants, and it is not unusual to see even less social creatures like fox, coyotes or even bobcats walk by. And squirrels playing in the rain is always a treat from under your rooms covered porch. If some quiet time with nature is needed, the guest forest gardens are the place to be!
